Established in 1948, Cooper Floors has the experience and expertise to get the job done right the first time. Our skilled professionals use only the finest tools and materials to install, repair and refinish your hardwood floors.

Prep Work:

If necessary, prior to the installation of your new hardwood flooring, we will remove old carpet, tile, or wood flooring and haul it away.  Some slabs will require us to prepare the slab by sanding, filling and leveling to provide the optimum surface for wood floor installation.

Installation:

Depending on the job, most prefinished floors can be installed in one day. Or, if you prefer, we also install raw, unfinished hardwood flooring that will be customized to your exact specifications. We have access to nearly all styles and brands from Bamboo to Walnut. We recommend quality brands such as Garrison, Naturally Aged, Lauzon, Rewards, Provenza and many more.  If you have a specific floor in mind let us know or, we can guide you through the decision making process and educate you to choose the perfect floor to fit your style.

Stair Treads And Raisers:

We install solid hardwood stair treads, with custom stain to match your wood landing, spindles and handrails. Risers can be either paint or stain grade to match your décor.

Trims and Baseboards:

We carry all the latest styles of baseboards. We provide and install either trims and baseboards that will be custom stained and finished to match your floor, or those that are pre-primed and ready for you to paint.

Sand and Refinish:

Is your hardwood floor showing signs or wear? Is it heavily scratched? In need of repair from pet stains or water damage? Or are you just ready to change the color? We specialize in sanding, staining, and refinishing those hardwood floors. We sand the floors down to bare wood and apply a clear sealer or stain. You choose your custom stain color as we apply it directly to your floor (not from a small swatch) for the most accurate representation of color. Then we top coat with several layers of polyurethane. This process generally takes 3-4 days.

Recoat:

A maintenance option to restore sheen and hide high traffic wear is the recoating process. This option consists of lightly sanding the flooring finish layer and applying a fresh coat of polyurethane in the sheen of your choice from glossy to matte. A great choice for high traffic areas such as kitchens and hallways, this is usually a one-day process.

Most stores that sell carpet, tile, and hardwood are dealers who subcontract the installation, and as such do not offer repair or refinishing options. Then, with discount and liquidated flooring centers, selling inconsistently milled products; creating gaps, rough edges, and uneven surfaces…. Whom can you trust?

Cooper Floors, we specialize in hardwood flooring. NO carpet. NO vinyl. NO tile. All work is done by OUR employees, subcontracting is not our policy. We are licensed, insured, and bonded.
